There are always questions with something as important and complex as planning a wedding. Whilst these can be many and varied, the questions listed below in our experience have been the ones asked most often. If however your query is not listed, please feel free to contact us at any time.

I'm worried I might lose control and the day might not be as I imagined.

This is a common concern. We will keep you in the loop as much or as little as you desire - it's up to you. All the decisions are ultimately yours and we work really hard to get to know you and your style so that your day is exactly as you dreamed. We listen to everything you say and communicate with you at every stage of the planning process. We understand this is your day.

Shouldn't I be able to arrange my own wedding?

Of course you can and we have a range of services for that very reason. However, if you haven't got the time or you would like to benefit from our negotiating, time management, communication and organisation skills, we can help. An average wedding takes over 250 hours to arrange, which is working full time for more than 6 weeks! Instead, choose a wedding planner to do all the research and paperwork whilst you still make all the decisions without the stress and hassle.

Why are the prices fixed rather than a percentage as with most other wedding planners?

We know that keeping to budget is an important part of planning your wedding and we appreciate that you need to know exactly how much you are going to be paying, rather than having a continuously changing figure. Not only that but we also pride ourselves on our ability to negotiate great supplier rates for our clients and can't see the incentive to do this for you when we are charging a percentage of budget.

Will you be there on the day to make sure everything runs smoothly?

Absolutely! We are on hand from early in the morning until your final guest goes home and all the time in between. We will make sure all the suppliers arrive on time and everything is set up exactly to your requirements and throughout the day will ensure that everything runs smoothly.

How do you decide which suppliers to use?

We are always completely impartial when recommending suppliers for your wedding. We suggest suppliers on their personality and style that we know will compliment you and your wedding and remember the final decisions will always be yours.

We are working to a tight budget, why should we pay for a wedding planner?

This is a question we often get asked and is best answered simply as, complete peace of mind. Every supplier we use is an established company with a proven reputation and service. Through engaging them on a regular basis, rather than just the once, we have great negotiating power, often saving our couples the majority of our fee.

Where are you based and what areas do you cover?

Kiss the Frog is based in Oakham in Rutland and covers the East Midlands counties of Lincolnshire, Northamptonshire, Cambridgeshire, Leicestershire and Nottinghamshire.

Do you know where we can have a civil ceremony?

Yes we have an extensive database of venues located in the towns of Oakham, Uppingham, Stamford, Bourne, Melton Mowbray, Market Harborough, Grantham and many other towns and villages in the surrounding area.
